Panoramic view of Smith Street

This is a panoramic view of Smith Street. As you can see, heading away from town, we're about a third of the way down on the right.

Charles Laird Drums is situated in the picturesque heart of England at 16 Smith Street, Warwick,
just opposite Kings High School and very close to Warwick Castle.

Parking:

There is public car parking in nearby Chapel Row and also at St. Nicholas Park (near the castle).

 

Access by rail:

The shop is within walkng distance of Warwick railway station, not to be confused with the newer Warwick Parkway just north of the Warwick Bypass.

From the north:

Travelling along the A46 either from M40 junction 15 or from Coventry in the opposite direction, leave at the A425 exit into Warwick (the A4177 heads the other way towards Birmingham).

Passing IBM on your left, go straight on at the small roundabout towards the centre of Warwick.

Continue straight on at the traffic lights and then go slightly left at the roundabout towards North Gate.

Go over the small roundabout and then, ignoring the first left turn into Cape Road, bear off to the left along Priory Road and look out for Chapel Street immediately on your right.

Continue past Chapel Street and you will see the Priory Road entrance to the Chapel Row car park on your right.

Walking out of the car park by Kings High School, you will find Charles Laird Drums opposite the junction of Chapel Street and Smith Street (see detailed street map on this page).

From the south:

Leave M40 at junction 13 and go right at the junction with A452 towards Warwick.

At the next roundabout, take 2nd exit (straight ahead) for the A425.

When you reach the roundabout at Myton Road, go straight on (over the river bridge) and then either turn right into the car park at St.Nicholas Park or straight over the next small roundabout at the entrance to Warwick Castle.

Continuing up Castle Hill, bear right at the traffic lights (signposted towards Leamington, Warwick Hospital and the railway station) into Smith Street. Charles Laird Drums is immediately ahead of you on the corner of Gerrard Street to the right.

There are a couple of parking places directly opposite the drum shop, but you may also turn left into Chapel Street and right into the narrow lane (Chapel Row) leading to a well hidden public car park behind Kings High School.
